Background

A large Zinc / Chrome Plater Facility was having difficulty achieving their metals discharge limits and the Sewer District lowered the limits even further. The TrueBlue team targeted the concern areas and developed a strategy to solve this problem. A TrueBlue Pilot was conducted with outstanding results an allowed this large facility to exceed thier targets.

Installation of a TrueBlue 50 GPM System enabled the customer to exceed discharge limits, reduce waste treatment cost and recycle water.

Summary

Zinc was 3.95 coming out of the clarifier and reduced nearly 93% with TrueBlue. Addtional Analysis – Zinc was 3.95 coming out of the clarifier and reduced nearly 94% with TrueBlue. “Backwashing made a slight difference”.It is important to point out that the the most prominent metal in the Zinc Phosphate process (Zn) was reduced nearly 93%. This is a difficult achievement in any Waste Treat Scenario as Zinc is especially hard to remove
