Chief Technical Officer
During his ten years as the lead technologist within Aqua ReUse (and former iterations of the company), Simon played the key lead role in designing from first principles and optimizing the MPZ™ media used in the TrueBlue™ core process. Simon is now working on adaptation of the TrueBlue process to be able to handle much higher challenge contaminate levels, as he continues to advance the development of the core technology.
With over twenty-five years of experience in ‘liquids’ treatment, he has direct experience in the design, installation and operation of static and moving bed adsorption, ion exchange systems, clarification technologies, membrane treatment and various filtration technologies. Simon has held senior technical roles in industries dealing with municipal drinking water system design, raw and refined sugar technologies, industrial water treatment systems and adsorption media manufacture.
Simon holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, an MSc (Distinction) in Chemical Engineering and is designated a Chartered Chemist (CChem).
Global Director of Operational Engineering
Archie McKnight is the Global Director of Operational Engineering. Archie leads the Aqua ReUse Team in bringing new concept ideas through production into market readiness. Archie joined the company in 2004 and became Global Director of Operational Engineering in 2008. He has been a key contributor to most of the companies’ engineering and production developments over his career.
Prior to Aqua ReUse, Archie worked at Continental as a Polymer Mix Manager responsible for compound manufacture and quality.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Design.
Group Chief Financial Officer
David is an experienced Head of Finance having held financial directorships in a variety of sectors ove the last twenty five years. He has been with the Group for six years and has overseen its growth during that time to nine entities operating in five countries, handling the attendant regulatory complexities. He has been involved in a number of start ups, taking them from formation to successful sale, and has spent most of his career in growing companies.
He has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Glasgow University, Scotland, and is a Chartered Accountant, being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
